Two days' notice is enough for most orders. Large batches need a week.

Nothing is charged here. This sends your order to the farm so we can confirm the price and the date with you first.

Three zones, fixed fees, set run days.

We run deliveries on scheduled days so the bakkie leaves full and the fee stays low. Order before 15:00 the day before your zone's run to make that trip.

Live birds travel in our crates and are offloaded at your door. Dressed orders travel chilled and must be received by someone who can put them straight into a fridge or freezer. Collection at the farm is always free: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:00, Saturday 07:00 to 13:00.

Wholesale & standing orders

A supply account, so your fridge is never the thing that runs out.

Shops, butcheries, caterers and school feeding programmes can register a standing order. You get first call on each batch before it opens to walk-in buyers, and one price you can plan a month around.

  • First allocation from every batch, reserved before the board goes public.
  • Bulk rate from 20 units, contract rate above 500 birds per month.
  • A fixed delivery day for your town, every week, on the same run.
  • Thirty-day invoicing once three orders have been settled on time.
  • One contact person on WhatsApp who knows your order without you re-explaining it.

Coming to collect?

The farm is at Sisulu Location, Umzimkhulu. Message us before you set out and we will send a live pin and have your birds caught and crated by the time you arrive, so you are not standing in the sun waiting for us to work through a queue.

Bring your own crates or bags if you can. If you cannot, we hire crates at a refundable deposit of R150 each. For biosecurity, visitors stay in the yard area and do not enter the poultry houses.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers, before you phone.

How far in advance must I order?
Two days is enough for most orders under 20 birds. Orders above 50 birds need about a week so we can allocate them to a batch on the board. Day-old chicks follow the hatchery intake, so book at least a week ahead.
Can I just arrive without booking?
Yes, for small quantities during farm gate hours, and there is usually stock. But on a busy Saturday you may wait, and a batch can sell out. A message the day before removes both risks.
How do I know I am paying for the right weight?
Every bird is weighed on a certified scale in front of you, live or dressed, and the weight goes on your slip before you pay. If a delivered order is short on weight, tell us within 24 hours and we correct it.
Do you slaughter according to halaal requirements?
We are not a certified halaal facility. Customers with religious slaughter requirements usually buy live birds and slaughter themselves. We are happy to hold birds for collection on a specific day and time so they arrive with you alive and healthy.
Do you sell eggs?
Not at present. We sell point-of-lay hens so that customers can produce their own eggs, and a layer flock is on our expansion plan. Ask us to add you to the list and we will contact you when it starts.
What happens if chicks die after I collect them?
Report losses within 48 hours with photographs. If the loss points to the batch rather than to brooding conditions on your side, we replace the chicks on the next intake. Every chick order leaves with a feeding, temperature and vaccination schedule, and following it matters.
Can I pay by card or on account?
We take cash at the farm gate and EFT. There is no card machine at present. Approved wholesale buyers can be invoiced on 30-day terms after three orders settled on time.
Can I visit the houses and see the birds?
You may see the birds from the yard, and we will answer any question about how they are reared. Visitors do not enter the houses themselves: one visit carrying disease on a pair of boots can cost an entire batch, and that risk is not worth a tour.
